Meds & Food for Kids’ factory in Cap-Haitien, Haiti is one-hundred percent led and operated by Haitians committed to strengthening their communities. By creating jobs and investing in local leadership, we support dignity and lasting development.
Our team of more than 80 Haitians produce therapeutic foods, consult and support partner clinics, and train farmers.

The MFK factory staff proudly achieves the highest standards in RUTF production, including the international FSSC 22000 certification for food safety. Our partnerships with the Haitian Ministry of Public Health and World Food Programme are testaments to what can be accomplished when community members come together to drive solutions.

Nearly 60% of Haiti’s population lives below the country’s poverty line, on less than $3.65 per day.
Fourteen percent of Haitian adults are unemployed or underemployed, and the majority of Haiti’s workforce do not have formal jobs. Many rely on multiple jobs and day labor to make ends meet, and struggle to support their families.
