Shada Clinic
Products used:
Medika Mamba|Mamba Djanm
Our Partnership:
Shada is the poorest area of Cap Haitien, Haiti. Cap Haitien is the second largest city in Haiti. Next to a finger of the ocean, Shada is a tightly packed neighborhood of cement block buildings with metal roofs or wooden lean-tos. There is a very high percentage of unemployed adults, a high number of single parent households, and the kind of poverty that does not allow for $1 transport of a sick child or a pregnant woman to the local hospital. Many illnesses go untreated and rates of childhood malnutrition and maternal undernutrition are high. MFK, in partnership with Hands Up For Haiti, supports a supplementation program using Mamba Djanm for pregnant and nursing mothers and supplies Medika Mamba for malnourished children.
