A Committed Team of Staff and Volunteers

Patricia Wolff, M.D.

Executive Director

Dr. Wolff founded MFK in 2003 in response to the inadequacies of malnutrition treatment in Haiti. After witnessing first-hand the power of RUTF while visiting RUTF-pioneer Dr. Mark Manary in Malawi, Dr. Wolff transferred the technology of RUTF to Haiti, a country where she had previously been volunteering for more than 15 years. Dr. Wolff is also a pediatrician in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri and a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Washington University School of Medicine.

Maryse Sterlin Sine

General Administrator

Maryse joined MFK in January 2010 as General Administrator of our operations and factory in Cap-Haitian. A native of northern Haiti, she has lived and worked in the US and brings a wealth of experience across multiple sectors - airlines, banking, manufacturing to name but a few - as well as speaking three languages.

Thomas Stehl

Managing Director

Dr. Wolff connected with Tom while he was in the middle of his first-of-its-kind social entrepreneurship masters program at Washington University. Recognized by his professors at both the George Warren Brown School of Social Work and the Olin School of Business as an extraordinary talent,Tom helped MFK in its early years to establish a business plan and to draft several successful funding proposals. He continues to be invaluable as our Managing Director.

Steve Taviner

Development Director

MFK discovered Steve as he was finishing his MSW at Washington University as a “second career” student. Steve’s work history is international, multilingual and crosses many disciplines. After 15 months in Haiti helping to oversee operations and partnerships, he is now back in St Louis spearheading the capital campaign and fundraising efforts, as well as managing communications and marketing.

James Rhoads

Agriculture Development Specialist

Jamie has lived, worked and conducted research in Haiti for many years. He speaks Creole fluently and has a wealth of educational and life experiences that make him superbly suited to head up our program to develop more and better peanuts in Haiti. After finishing his Master's degree at Cornell, Dr. Wolff convinced him to join MFK's team..

Board of Directors

Headed by President, Marilyn Gannon, MBA, the Board of MFK is intimately involved in all aspects of the organization. This is a very hardworking all volunteer board who not only provides financial oversight and governance but also writes and produces a print and online newsletter, develops publicity information and assists with fundraising.
